Abstract

Aortic arch surgery has been one of the highest mountains to overcome in the history of cardiovascular surgery. Aortic arch surgery presents several problems, including organ protection, particularly brain protection. Arch replacement would inevitably affect brain function due to cerebral ischemia during manipulation of supra-arch vessels.
