Abstract

Especially when the development context is highly dynamic, it is worth pursuing multiple design concepts and ideas to have alternative options available when the unforeseen occurs. With this motivation in mind, the investigation aims at deriving an agile practice to guide an agile development team in set-based design during everyday business. The repository tree logic from software development reveals to be highly beneficial, but needs reinterpretation. By conducting action research in a startup team, an initial organizational concept was applied, analyzed and optimized gradually in five iterations. The final practice encourages the development team to explore alternatives and stimulates the innovative capacity.
