Abstract
Eight novel sesquiterpenes were isolated from leaves of Rosa rugosa, and their structures elucidated. The glandular trichome exudate of R. rugosa leaves was thus found to contain several minor carotane, secocarotane, bisabolane and acorane sesquiterpenes.
