Abstract

The dependence of medicines on imports sharply worsens the situation with the supply of medicines to the general population. Currently, many problems arise in order to ensure a systematic reduction in import dependence on medicines and their substances for the treatment and Prevention of diseases in relevant areas in the relevant industries. One of these relevant areas is the prevention and treatment of difficult-totreat diseases such as pneumonia, tuberculosis and viral. In connection with these circumstances, special attention is paid to the search for new drugs against viruses, tumors and bacteria from natural domestic raw materials. On the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, there is a significant increase in the import of medicinal substances for the production of various types of medicines and BAS. The production of domestic medicines is relevant in our country, replacing such plant raw materials. Aims: to identify and use sesquiterpene lactones from medicinal plant raw materials as a promising medicinal source. Materials and methods: Plant raw materials — Saussurea sordida and Saussurea alpina plants were used as objects. The object of the study was the aboveground part collected in 2022 in the Turkestan region. To obtain the extract, 96% percent ethyl alcohol was infused by maceration for 7 days. To isolate sesquiterpene lactones, the method of maceration of ethyl alcohol with a percentage of 96% from plant raw materials was used. Results and discussion: During the experiments, the presence of unsaturated compounds of sesquiterpene nature was established: alcohols, lactones, azulenes, as well as higher alcohols and diterpene acids in the herbs Saussurea Sordida Kar&Kir and Saussurea Alpina DC.
