Abstract

We study the contact fatigue and wear resistance of 60Kh2M roll steel with surface nanocrystalline structure formed by a mechanical impulsive treatment. An increase in the contact durability and wear resistance of such steel is observed. The dependence of the contact durability of the steel on its initial structural state and the efficiency of protector proofing are established.
