Abstract

Increases in serum potassium concentration after administration of succinylcholine in patients with renal failure were compared with those in normal subjects. The mean maximal increases in serum potassium were 0.5 mEq/l in both groups of patients. Prior administration of d-tubocurarine did not prevent this increase.
