Abstract

SGOT, SGPT and SOCT levels increased significantly in young goats infected with 5000 eggs of Taenia hydatigena. These enzymes showed an increase on Day 10 of infection and their level remained higher than those of controls until the end of the experiment. The increase in enzyme levels was essentially due to tissue damage caused by C. tenuicollis migrating through the visceral organs.
