Abstract
COW MILK is known to lack many protective properties of human milk, and may also cause various illnesses. Cow milk hypersensitivity may be IgE mediated, with gastrointestinal, cutaneous, or respiratory symptoms of type I allergy? Malabsorption with cow milk-protein intolerance in early infancy is associated with villous atrophy of jejunal epithelium and elevated levels of serum IgA, findings similar to those of celiac disease with gluten hypersensitivity.
