Abstract

Examination of the testes of 1598 bulls slaughtered at abattoirs in north Queensland revealed the presence of Sertoli cell tumours in one mature and five aged bulls. Tumours were present as discrete pale nodules, 1·0 to 3·0 cm. in diameter. They were characterized histologically by a distinct tubular pattern, variable intertubular fibrosis, expansive growth with degeneration of contiguous parenchyma, and striking intratubular concrements.
