Abstract

ZnO nanoparticles with serrated hexagonal morphology were synthesised via hydrothermal route. XRD plot affirms the ZnO nanoparticles are formed. FTIR was performed to study the various vibrational modes of the synthesised ZnO nanoparticles. UV–VIS spectra was recorded to calculate the energy band gap of ZnO nanoparticles. Electrochemical studies were performed via Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy and Cyclic voltammetry techniques that shows the synthesised nanoparticles are appropriate for the application in Dye-sensitized solar cells.
