The study included 4.922 farms of the department, 635 of them positive for brucellosis. In the area of high Sinu a seroprevalence of 3.96% was found, in Low Sinu it was of 3,8%, in the Middle Sinu of 3,7% and in the Upper San Jorge 3.6%. In animals the prevalence of bovine brucellosis was of 3.71% and in farms of 12.7%.
