Abstract
SUMMARY: Fluorescent antisera to strains of small Selenomonas ruminantium var. lactilyticas grown in vitro from sheep rumen contents appeared to react specifically with some of the large selenomonads seen in vivo in rumen contents. It seems probable, therefore, that the selenomonads isolated by the usual cultural methods are those seen in rumen contents.
