Abstract

The article reveals the main points of the biography of S. G. Lysov, who in 1920-1930 He was one of the active participants in the creation of the higher school of Belarus. Being a specialist in the history of the revolutionary movement and work among the peasants, S. G. Lysov headed one of the most responsible departments in the People's Commissariat of Education (NCP) of the BSSR – the Main Directorate of Political and Educational Work (Glavpolitprosvet). With his direct participation, the rise of the cooperative movement in Belarus began. But the desire for teaching, which he did not stop leading, contributed to his return to work at the Commissariat of Education as an inspector of a higher school. From 1927 to 1933, S.G. Lysov was directly involved in the development of the structure and concept of the development of higher education. He became the head first of the Belarusian State Machine-Building Institute (BMMI) in Gomel, and later of the Belarusian State Polytechnic Institute (BSPI) in Minsk.
