Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of seretide combining spiriva in the treatment of patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) . Methods 86 patients with stable COPD were enrolled and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, 43 cases for each group. The control group were treated with seretide, and observation group with seretide and spiriva. The clinical effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.67%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (86.05%) (χ2=3.887 9, P=0.000 0) . PaO2 was significantly higher in both groups after treatment (P<0.05) . The PaCO2 was significantly lower and the PaO2 was significantly higher after than before the treatment in both groups (P<0.05) , and were so in the observation group than in the control group after the treatment (t=11.673 and 10.684, P<0.05) . The FEV1, FVC, and FEV1/FVC were significantly higher after than before the treatment in both groups (P<0.05) , and were so in the observation group than in the control group after the treatment (t=5.281 6, 8.172 9, and 4.972 3, P=0.000 0) . Conclusion Seretide combining spiriva for patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is effective and can improve their symptoms and pulmonary function, so it is worth being clinically generalized. Key words: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; Seretide; Spiriva; Lung function .
