Abstract

Ethylenediamine-N,N′-diacetatocopper(II) (Cu-EDDA) exhibits two reversible one-electron redox processes at a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) at −0.28 and −0.39 V vs SCE in aqueous medium. This is attributed to the existence of the complex as a dimer in aqueous solution due to weak intermolecular metal-metal interactions.
