Abstract

In this paper, a new approach to decentralized stabilization and control is proposed. This approach combines a suboptimal high-gain output-feedback controller design with a sequential high-gain decentralized control scheme such that at each stage of the sequential scheme, the retained optimal closed loop eigenstructure has a prescribed degree of stability. This new algorithm is illustrated on a practical problem, the decentralized stabilization and control of a multi-machine power system.
