Abstract
We examine the symmetric capacity of quasi-scalable systems under the equal average input energy constraint. It turns out that the maximum achievable symmetric capacity is equal to the maximum achievable sum capacity. Moreover, the multiple-OCDMA signature sets, which are known to maximize the sum capacity under the constraint of quasi-scalability, actually achieve this maximum symmetric capacity.
