Abstract
This chapter discusses sequences, series, and permutations and combinations. Arithmetic and geometric sequences and series are discussed and we derive formulae for the sum of an arithmetic or geometric series. We discuss the counting principle and the pigeonhole principle and explain the differences between permutations and combinations.
