Abstract

Abstract In the present paper, we develop a septic B-spline method for solving a self-adjoint singularly perturbed two-point boundary value problem. This method is applied directly to the numerical solution of the problems without reducing its order. The convergence analysis is also given and the method is shown to have a convergence of order six. Numerical illustrations are given at the end to demonstrate the efficiency of our method by using the MATLAB.
