Abstract
ABSTRACT Chonca bullosa (CB) is the pneumatization of bony part of the nasal turbinates. Commonly seen at the middle turbinate. CB has first been described by Zuckerkandl (1). In anatomical studies, CB has been noted in 5–20 % of the nasal specimens (5). However, it was found in 34 % of patients having CT for the evaluation of symptomatic sinus disease (2). It's one of the most common anatomic variations of the lateral nasal wall and The exact reason of such pneumatization is not known. It might be originate from the frontal recess, middle meatus or sinus lateralis. It is asymptomatic unless being extremely large and causing nasal obstruction. We are presenting a septated CB as an unusual form of CB. Key Words: Nasal obstruction, concha bullosa; septated; middle turbinate
