Abstract

Modeling disease is a complication derived from the infiltration of multiple high-density compounds used for aesthetic purposes, which has become popular due to its low cost and easy access to the general population. This practice is considered an illegal activity, as it entails significant risks to the health of patients, causing high rates of morbidity and mortality. We present the case of a 42-year-old transexual male with a history of mineral oil infiltration for breast augmentation, who attended the emergency department due to septic shock secondary to soft tissue infection, whose poor response to treatment led to death.
