Abstract

A silica gel impregnated glass-fiber paper chromatographic method has been developed for the separation and quantitative estimation of prostaglandins. This method is simple, sensitive, rapid and inexpensive. The method is very useful for separation and estimation of prostaglandin E1, E2, F1α F2α and prostaglandin B compound in human amniotic fluids. The method permits analysis with a lower limit of 10−9 mole of prostaglandin.
