Abstract
Rhodococcus erythropolis produces a kind of the microbial flocculant. This bioflocculant could efficiently flocculate all suspended solids in aqueous solution tested. Among those tested were microorganisms such as E. coli and alchhole yeast activated sludge, algae, kaolin clay, muddy water, river bottom sediment, ash and chacoal powder. The bioflocculant from Rhodococcus erythropolis have a wide flocculating activity against both organic and inorganic materials.
