Abstract

A separable potential which fits the low and intermediate π‐N scattering is proposed which is more convenient for applications than those separable models which use Regge parameterizations of the very high energy phase shifts. The form factors for this model are equal to zero for momenta q≳1 GeV/c, and are expected to provide more reasonable off‐shell behavior than the form factors obtained from those models based on the Regge extrapolation.
