559 Background: The SNB in BC has been proposed as a valid tool to stage the axilla but its therapeutic role is still unknown. In 2000, GIVOM started a RCT to evaluate whether a selective lymphadenectomy is clinically equivalent to ALND, in terms of disease free survival while contributing less morbidity.
