Abstract
In this paper, we will try to implement sensorless control using model reference adaptive system-based (MRAS) method on predictive flux angle control. Flux angle control is designed to improve the efficiency of vector control in light loads. Vector control in heavy loads has acceptable performance and the amount of rotor flux in heavy loads is the same as the nominal value. But in light loads, the use of vector control will reduce efficiency. In fact, in order to provide the required flux and torque in light loads, the nominal rotor flux is not required. Motors are rarely used for operating with their nominal load and the load is usually different from the nominal value. In the proposed method, the value of the flux angle in light loads will be controlled at a constant value, which depends on some motor parameters. The suggested method is easy to implement and will significantly increase the efficiency of the induction motor in light loads.
