Abstract

This work deals with the speed/rotor flux control of a sensorless induction motor, i.e. without speed measurement. A solution based on an indirect field oriented control scheme and an adaptive speed observer which relies on the electromagnetic dynamics of the machine is proposed. In the stability analysis, persistency of excitation has been exploited to prove local exponential stability of the closed-loop system. Simulation tests show the performance of the controller.
