Abstract

The Direct Torque Control (DTC) theory based on stator flux control does not satisfy the situation of high torque at low speed. The paper presents a DTC method of variable stator flux to overcome the demerit of inadequate torque of induction motor driver at low speed and maintains performance of wide speed regulating range. Because the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) regulator can suppress effectively the torque ripples, and improves the torque characteristics of the driver. When the induction motor works at low speed, the micro controller cannot gain the variation of encoder value and speed will be out of control. Based on this, a speed sensor less direct torque control scheme based on TMS320LF2407A is presented to realize digitalization of induction motor DTC driver. The simulation results show that the system has very quick dynamic response, wide speed regulating range and high reliability.
