Abstract

Visible light detector is a crucial device in the optical microscope and high-speed wireless visible-light communication. Fiber integrating free-standing nanowires devices show advantages at enhanced the light-matter interaction length and high response time. In this paper, one-dimensional (1D) hexagonal free-standing super long C60 nanowires (CSLNW) with different diameters was synthesized by using the direct solution growth method. A hybrid coupler is formed by integrating 1D and optical microfiber and realized a high-performance all-optical visible light detector. The sensitivity was enhanced 141% by the Vernier effect. The device also shows a fast response time and recovery time of 62.4 ms and 50.8 ms respectively. The study is crucial for opening up the high sensitivity compact integrated optical devices.
