Abstract

Electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure of workers may be significantly higher and spatially heterogeneous than general public one, what needs specific attention when the safety of exposed workers is evaluated. Because of this, the quality of service in EMF measurements is of special concern in that case. Experimental study have been performed to evaluate how various protocols and performance statistics (provided by ISO13528:2015 for interlaboratory comparisons) are sensitive to the malfunctions of laboratories, while performing various measurement tasks. The analysis of results aimed at developing requirements regarding the protocol for tests of the quality of service provided to assess workers' EMF exposure. The assigned value calculated as consensus value from results provided by expert laboratories with the prescribed value of the standard deviation for proficiency assessment (set based on the analysis of real uncertainty achievable in the well controlled laboratory experiments) have been identified to be the most sensitive to the malfunctions of participating laboratories.
