Abstract

Methods for analyzing the sensitivity of the optimal values of target functionals and controlling parameters to small changes in the initial data in optimization problems for nuclear reactors are examined. The computational aspects and particularities of the methods are discussed. As an example the sensitivity of the solution to the problem of minimizing the specific mass of nuclear fuel present in the fuel cycle of a gas-cooled fast reactor to a change in the coolant density is investigated.
