Abstract

The hamster isolated vas deferens responds with a contraction when the following drugs are added to the bath: adrenaline, noradrenaline, dopamine, tyramine, acetylcholine, 5-HT and barium chloride. The preparation is only slightly sensitive to histamine, and does not respond to isoprenaline. The noradrenaline content of the organ is 15.5 ± 0.6 μg/g of tissue.
