Abstract

The fall-off of the light beam induced current in the vicinity of a grain boundary is frequently used to determine the minority-carrier diffusion length in the vicinity of the boundary and the surface recombination velocity at the boundary. It is shown that the numerical values obtained can be very sensitive to the choice of the background.
