Abstract

A simple to fabricate, low cost, and high Sensitivity magnetic sensor is proposed in this paper. The sensor is composed of two parallel Fabry-Perot (FP) interferometers which are fabricated by fusing single mode fiber and hollow core fiber. Two FP interferometers have similar free spectral ranges to achieve vernier effects. The experimental result shows the magnetic field sensitivity of the proposed sensor is 101pm/mT, which is about seven times higher than the single FP cavity.
