Abstract

Meteorological parameters are the digital representations of climate. These parameters play an important role in building energy consumption. The different meteorological parameters chosen to determine the impacts of climate on building energy consumption were temperature, relative humidity, global solar radiation, direct radiation and wind speed. The variations of heating or air condition energy consumption caused by changes in the above mentioned meteorological parameters were calculated using building simulations. The sensitivity coefficients of building energy consumption with these parameters were analyzed. The effects of meteorological parameters on building energy consumption were determined for five climatic zones in China, and the differences were quantified.
