Abstract

Abstract The most easily implemented of the various approaches to the evaluation of alternatives is the equivalent annual cost method. Application of the method of quasi-linearization to the relation for Capital Recovery with Return has yielded general results which allow the assessment of deviations from benchmark solutions. These results may be used to modify existing solutions, to determine offsetting changes in more than one parameter, and to establish the gradients for optimization techniques requiring them.
