Abstract

To improve the current collection quality between pantograph and catenary, model of catenary-pantograph is established with the finite element simulation software MSC. Marc to calculate contact force between pantograph and catenary. Changes of contact force are discussed when the design parameters of catenary are changed. Interrelation between design parameter variation and contact force is analysed by introducing the method of Spearman rank correlation coefficient. Then, the sensitivity of the design parameters of catenary on contact force is analysed by introducing the method of Sobol sensitivity. Then, the variation of optimisation direction of design parameters of catenary and the influence of design parameters on contact force are analysed under different speeds. The results show the interrelation between design parameter variation and the contact force, and the sensitivity of parameter is different when the pantograph runs at the different speeds. Finally, the optimisation method of catenary parameters is proposed, and the current collection quality between pantograph and catenary is obviously improved by increasing the contact wire tension, reducing the contact wire linear density and messenger wire tension when the speed is 500 km/h.
