Abstract

The authors report on the use of time division multiplexing coupled with wavelength modulation of an external cavity laser for sensitive, multipoint gas detection. A three-sensor ladder-topology acetylene system is experimentally demonstrated with a detection sensitivity of 150 ppm (25 mm gas cells) for a time constant of 300 ms and –30 dB crosstalk between the sensors.
