Abstract
The article deals with the issue of the use of modern digital media by the elderly (seniors). As part of the introduction, the typology of the media as well as their definitions, features and functions were described in detail. The difference between traditional and new media as well as between analog and digital media ispresented. The possibilities offered by seniors to usevirtualspace and the necessity of digital education of older people are outlined.
