Abstract

This study uses qualitative research methods and data collection techniques of observation and documentation. The study was conducted using primary and secondary data analysis techniques through the observations of researchers in the film A Perfect Fit.
 This research began when I watched the film A Perfect Fit, in this film I saw that there were Bugis and Balinese cultures which became cultural elements in this film. The Bugis culture shown in this film is the Mappacci tradition is one of the hereditary icons that still exists today. Mappacci is a hereditary traditional ritual of the Bugis-Makassar tribe before the marriage contract or ijab qabul. The main meaning of the mappacci is the purity of the prospective bride and groom’s heart to face tomorrow which will ente the household ark to let go of his single life. Balinese culture contained in this film is the traditional Melukat procession, melukat is a process of self-purification, the melukat process is usually held on Hindu religious days and is carried out in historical places, in temples or bathing places and the sea in Bali.
