Abstract

Within the framework of the semi-microscopic approach a method is proposed for calculation of the giant dipole resonance in deformed doubly-even nuclei. For the residual interaction the long-range dipole-dipole forces and pairing correlations are used. Calculations were carried out in the random-phase approximation, without anharmonicity. The results of calculations for a number of nuclei from 152Sm to 238U are consistent with the experimental data.
