Abstract

The vector and axial-vector coupling constants of the semileptonic weak decay of hyperons are calculated with the bound kaon approach to strangeness in the Skyrme model proposed by Callan and Klebanov. The values of the g A/ g V ratios for the strangeness-changing processes are within the same level as in the strangeness-conserving processes. We however see that the constants g V deviate largely from those in the SU(3) symmetric model. A peculiar N c dependence of the currents is also discussed.
