Abstract
Numerous papers in the Empire Survey Review during the past few years testify to the widespread use of the semi-graphic method of adjustment for fixing new points within a network of previously established stations when theodolite observations only have been taken. Furthermore, as Mr. H. S. Williams has pointed out in the last two paragraphs of Section B of his article (E.S.R., xvi, 119), the method, suitably modified, can be satisfactorily applied to an isolated triangulation scheme extended off a measured base.
