Abstract
A new model is proposed to account for the non-spherical part of the intermolecular interaction in gas kinetics. The model is mathematically simple and is based on a transformation of collision kernels for spherical particles to kernels for nonspherical particles. An application to the Light-Induced Drift effect is given.
