Abstract

A new semi-empirical formula for the evaluation of (n,p) reaction cross-sections at the energy of 14.5 MeV is presented. The formula was derived on the basis of analytical expressions for the evaluation of the proton spectrum within the frame of pre-equilibrium exciton and evaporation models. In the description of experimental data χ 2 is a minimum value as compared to other known systematics. The systematics obtained reproduce both the measured cross-sections of the (n,p) reactions and the experimental values of the pre-equilibrium component of the (n,p) reaction cross-section.
