Abstract
We present a semi-empirical parametrization method for calculation of spontaneous radiative decay rates of forbidden transitions on an example of analysis of experimental data for Sc II. The values of transition probabilities and radiative lifetimes of metastable levels are in perfect agreement with experimental ones. The obtained results are compared with other calculated data available. The predicted values of radiative parameters for all Sc II metastable levels are presented.
