Abstract
Deformation analysis (strain) of the cardiac muscle is a technique to assess cardiac function. We used a novel semi-automated MRI deformation software to explore the relationship between strain parameters, volumetric function and myocardial characteristics in pediatric myocardial diseases. We hypothesized that peak myocardial strain and strain rate would correlate with cardiac function in patients with myocardial diseases.
