Abstract

In the British Medical Journal in 1992 a publication from the Department of Growth and Reproduction, University of Copenhagen, Denmark appeared, with the challenging title: “Evidence for decreasing quality of semen during past 50 years” (1). It was a meta‐analysis of 61 publications from 1938 to 1991, where semen quality of healthy men was studied. Strict selection criteria for inclusion and exclusion were predefined.
