Abstract

This article presents the vector controlled drive of permanent magnet synchronous motor. The concept of vector control is used for decoupled control of flux and torque producing component of current. The PI controller's parameter of the drive system had been tuned with particle swarm optimization technique. The tuning of controller's parameter with particle swarm optimization had been greatly improved the performance of drive system for variable speed drive. The presented work and performance of the drive developed in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment with change in speed and load. It has been observed that from FFT analysis in stator current, develop output voltage and torque ripple in electromagnetic torque are greatly improved, Hence the proposed technique is acclaimed for best performances.
