Abstract

This research explores the relationship between self-efficacy and users of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the Brazilian school environment. Self-efficacy is an important concept that influences the teaching-learning process, motivation and dedication against difficulties, academic achievement and behavioral and emotional aspects of students. In this study, students were analyzed according to their frequency of ICT use for task resolution and for their leisure time. The aim was to identify students’ perceptions of their abilities in solving different tasks using ICT. The results showed that the frequency of use and their familiarity with the technologies influence their perception of self-efficacy.
